We love … Lynley Dodd

It would be difficult to fault Lynley Dodd’s books, and being the parent of a child who absolutely loves them, I question why anyone would try. They’re so popular, and with good reason. The characters are captivating: from Hairy Maclary to Slinky Malinky, Zachary Quack to Schnitzel von Krumm (with the very low tum). All Dodd’s books are fun to read, and despite reading them over, and over, and over – I swear I can recite them backwards standing on my head – I never seem to get sick of them. Thankfully neither does Noah, which is why I will be sure to pack them in my carry on this week when we head off to Broome for a much anticipated and long overdue family holiday. Can’t wait!
