Cocoon Couture Beanbags On Sale

If you’ve been hankering after these gorgeous beanbags by Cocoon Couture, as I have, head to NZ company PeaKnuckle. They are changing suppliers and have a distributor clearance sale on with prices reduced to $NZ64.69 from $NZ99.95. Get in quick! They post internationally too, I just snapped up two and with postage and the great exchange rate they only cost me $AU107. Woo hoo.

Revamp a salvaged window frame

Monica at Craftynest has repaired and painted this salvaged window and used it to frame wallpaper samples that she picked up free. It looks fantastic, was extremely cost effective (she picked up two of these frames for the price of one) and the best thing is that you can change out the wallpaper to suit your decor. Fabulous. And recession-friendly. I’m off to my local salvage yard.

Getting back in the swing

It’s been a bit slow going in my blogging world lately, as you’ve probably noticed! With holidays, moving house and then shocking morning sickness (read all day sickness), I must confess I haven’t had a lot of motivation to get on the computer and read other peoples posts let alone write my own. I feel a bit out of touch now! But the big excitement is obviously a new baby brother or sister for Noah, which we are thrilled to bits about.

As for our reno, we are finally back into it. I’m in the process of choosing a colour scheme for Noah’s bedroom, which I’ve almost settled on and will share with you soon. The playroom is almost ready to go, with wall prep and painting on the cards this weekend. I’m hoping to have the bulk of it done by early next week, as we have a couple of Torsby sideboards (below) arriving from Ikea which will be put to use as toy and art supply storage.

I’ve also ordered Eijffinger’s “Anjali & Ndati” wallpaper in Navy Stripe from French Dressing which I’m really looking forward to seeing.

I have had to rethink the Lizzie Allen Telephone Box print that I blogged about here, the quote I received was well outside my budget. Initially I was a bit disappointed, but I’m thinking about having a go at painting one on the wall instead. Now, I have absolutely zilch artistic experience, despite coming from a very arty family, so I’ll keep you posted on this one!
So things are finally starting to happen, after a bit of a slow start. I hope to have some before and after photos for you in the next couple of weeks.
