Playroom Update

Before: The room is intended as a second living area, but with small children we thought the space would be put to better use as a playroom.

After: The walls were painted in Taubman’s Snowy White, and plain white aluminium blinds installed to give some privacy from the neighbours. The cabinets are Ikea Torsby Sideboards, and are perfect for hiding away all the kids toys. The red clock was from Kmart and the Alimrose Ahoy bunting was purchased at Millie Molly Moo.

After: The Cocoon Couture beanbags were picked up on sale, the post box is on loan from the toy library.

After: Beautiful prints by Naoko Stoop at Etsy

There is still quite a bit to be done, as the wallpaper has taken almost two months to arrive – I’m told it’s in the post and will be here in a couple of weeks …. hmmm … we’ll see. So I’ll hopefully have final photos in a month or so. The room is getting a lot of use, there’s so much space to spread out the toys, which seem to spend more time scattered around the room than tucked away in the cupboards! But that is what they are there for, aren’t they?

Udessi is owned and run by Kim Wallace: “I am a Brisbane based artist and graphic designer born & raised in the Netherlands, and moved to Australia about 9 years ago. I have completely fallen in love with this beautiful country and the extraordinary art it has to offer, which has inspired me to start this online gallery offering a wide variety of unique, contemporary Australian artworks.”
They have a fabulous selection of Australian art as the above images attest. Check it out at their online gallery, read the blog here, or browse their stall at the Boutique Markets, Poolside Wharf, Brisbane, tomorrow – Sunday 12th July.
