Wow, this is just the coolest kids room. I love the grocers stall, the picture has been in my inspiration folder for a while now and I keep coming back to it, I think it would be a big hit at our house.

 Here’s a quick peak at the nursery. I finished the painting a couple of weeks ago and although it’s only a tiny room, the taping for the stripes dragged it out a bit, but even so it only took a weekend. Really happy with the results, but we still have a couple of final touches – a cover for the chair, a lovely Naoko Stoop print on order, and awaiting the blinds – just a plain, white Roman blind. Eight weeks to go!P.S. The print is The Three Bears Revisited – boys chairs by Sarah Jane Studios.

I’m currently hunting around for upholstery ideas for kids chairs. I picked up a cheap chair at a second hand shop this week and want to have a go at reupholstering it (emphasing the “have a go” as I’ve never done anything of the sort before). It’s currently in Noah’s room as his special reading chair or his “sits” as he calls it.
These are some of my favourite ideas so far. I absolutely love the tub chair (bottom), covered in Pierre Frey fabric, just gorgeous. Has anyone ever had a go at something like this? I’m told it’s best to have it professionally done, but I’m determined to DIY, any advice?
