Monthly Archives: April 2010I was so excited to discover Two Little Dicky Birds mentioned at these lovely blogs. Thank you all so very much, you absolutely made my day!
You may well have spotted these gorgeous vintage inspired lamps by Jo of The Owls Are Hunting. Canberra-based Jo takes pre-loved lamp bases and breathes new life into them with gorgeous hand-made shades. Combining vintage, retro and modern to produce these gorgeous pieces, her work has been featured in Frankie Magazine, Canberra Weekly and the blogosphere via Decor8 and Bondville. You can see more of The Owls Are Hunting here and here, and they’re available for purchase online at Made It. I’ll let the lamps speak for themselves …

Have you ever come across Little Big Magazine? I have to confess, until today I hadn’t. I stumbled onto it and subsequently found this gorgeous bedroom, belonging to Anton Cassi, who happens to be the son of the incredibly talented Emma Cassi – ringing any bells yet? The pieces finally fell into place when I found this house tour at Design Sponge. Ahhh. Lightbulb moment.
So, these photos have been around a while. If you’re a bit more on the ball than I, you may well have seen them (apologies to you), but if, like me, you’ve somehow missed them – enjoy. To me, this room is just perfection. Everything a little boys room should be.

8 comments It’s been quite interesting to see the photos people have been digging up from their archives for this game, so when the lovely Sarah at Flourish Design and Style tagged me, I was intrigued to see which image would be my sixth. Here it is. It was taken from this post, written when I was obsessing over reading nooks. I still adore that Pottery Barn magazine rack, by the way. So, with no further ado, here are my nominees: Nellie from McCarthy Designs Play along if you like – revisit your earliest posts and re-post your 6th image. Easy! And the pin the tail on Max is just brilliant. Love it! You can see more pictures and super helpful inspiration links here. Image Source: Armelle Blog 5 comments |
