A Father’s Hands

There were a few things I wanted to share with you this week, but life sort of got in the way, as it does.  I won’t go into the gory details; suffice to say toddler + stomach bug = “big mess” (Noah’s words).  Here’s to a more pleasant weekend!
Sam is learning to sit by himself and has spent the past couple of days working very hard.  He is so determined!  I’m so pleased that I caught this moment – Dad’s supporting hands.  And so we begin a new phase.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.

A Perfectly Delightful Tea Party

I absolutely love the look of this party – it’s pretty and girly and full of gorgeous colour.  Love the linen, love the simple vases and flowers, love, Love, LOVE the parasols.  I know a few of you already follow their blog, but for those who haven’t had the pleasure – you can see more of this beautiful party if you wander over and visit Clare, Joy and Sue at Mondocherry.

LOVE

I just stumbled across the work of photographer Stephanie Williams via Blair at delight by design.  We never had an engagement session, but if we had, I would definitely want something fun like this!

Blom Paper Flowers by Jurianne Matter

I spotted these decorative Blom Paper Flowers by Jurianne Matter over at Kid Style File today and I really want some.  I have no idea where I would put them, and birthdays are a way off yet, but they’re so versatile, I’m sure I could find somewhere for them.  Hmmmm…
PS. They’re available at uber-cool handmade store Lark
PPS. I highly recommend checking out Jurianne’s website and blog too, both well worth a visit.

Two Dicky Birds

Sinead at Urbanstems found this cute poem in her Mum’s old poetry book, it’s really sweet and also quite appropriate!  I’m making it a regular for my boys, we need a few new poems and songs to add to our repertoire, and I think this is perfect.  Be sure to check out some of the gorgeous floral design inspiration while you’re there, there are some beautiful images.

Speaking of floral, these beautiful flowers were part of a stunning bunch that arrived for Mother’s Day, from my Mother-in-Law – I know, lucky right?  I think I hit the ball out of the park when I married my husband:)

The book is the one I currently have on the go – The Postmistress by Sarah Blake, I can’t tell you too much about it as I’m only a few chapters in, but there’s quite a good review here (no spoilers, promise!).  I can tell you that I’m really enjoying it.

Have you read any good books lately?
