Irish Cream Tiramisu

Tiramisu is a pretty fantastic thing in its more traditional form, but I adore the smooth boozy richness of Nigella Lawson’s Irish Cream version.  Make it the night before so that it has plenty of time to soak up all of that luscious Baileys and coffee.  Mmmm… naughty.

Here’s the recipe: Irish Cream Tiramisu.

I was hunting through my inspiration file for bathroom ideas, and found a bit of a theme going in the form of pedestal basins.  This was not intentional at all, but we do have one in our ensuite, so it’s obviously a subconscious tug in that direction.

The thing is, it is an old sink.  My husband is not fond of it at all.  Initially I agreed, but now I really like it.  I love the shape.  I blame the first image, I just want to rush out and find a gorgeous art deco mirror to hang above it.

It’s funny really, looking at all these gorgeous homes, you begin to find beauty in places you never expected.  I never thought I’d love that basin, now I can’t imagine parting with it.
