This Week

I am…

…loving this space from the home of Dottie Angel herself, Tif Fussell.  The Orla Kiely wallpaper is in itself is enough to win me over, but everything else is so sweet and perfect too.  I wish I was cool and styling enough to pull this off.  Alas…

…inspired by Aran of Cannelle Et Vanille.  Beautiful recipes, breathtaking photography.  Aran is crazy talented, it’s always a treat to visit.

…making time to wrap Christmas presents (gasp!).  I know it’s still October, but I’m heading off to New Zealand soon and all my shopping and wrapping of gifts needs to be finished by November.

…looking forward to some “me time” tomorrow.  I’m off to have my hair cut and coloured.  Then its back to gift wrapping and quilt making…

…and dishes and house cleaning and washing…

Hope your weekend is a good one, full of fun activities and an absence of washing!

Thank You

I think it must be time to stop and say ‘thank you’ to everyone (that’s every one of you!) who reads Two Little Dicky Birds, and finds the time to stop by and leave me such lovely comments.  You are such a wonderful, supportive bunch and I always feel very encouraged by your kind words!  So, Thank You!

I’d also like to thank Thetis at one of my favourite blogs Little Sooti and Kristy and Mina at Chic Mother and Baby, both of whom recently featured Noah’s birthday party.  Thank you!

And a super big hug and thank you to Heather of Gathering Spriggs who featured Two Little Dicky Birds as Blog of the Week, and gave me a little big bounce in my step today. Thanks!

I hope you are all having a pleasant week.  See you soon…

Six Weeks of Spring Colour: A Nod to Winter

We had a cold snap this week.  It wasn’t a particularly long one, or even that cold really, but we did throw on jumpers and I plugged the gas heater back in, which seemed a little strange when we had just cranked up the air conditioner only two days prior.  It was a little reminder that, although we are well into Spring, Winter is still breathing its frosty breath in our direction.  So this week is a combination of seasons.  The cold, frostiness of Winter meets the birth of Spring.  Enjoy!

This Week

I am…

…loving the beautiful range of home decor goodies at Pigeon Toe Ceramics, I think that peacock cushion has my name on it!

…inspired by Jeanette Lunde of Fryd + Design.  Her latest issue 2 by Fryd is online and it’s every bit as beautiful as Issue 1.

Lonny? Lonny Schmonny. Give me Jeanette’s self-authored, photographed and edited mag any day.

The only sad bit is waiting for the next issue.  I’m so impatient!

…making my quilt.  Baby Luke has arrived, time to get sewing!

…looking forward to next weeks Spring Colour posts.  I’m really enjoying this series, maybe I need to colour theme every week!

Have a great weekend, everyone!
