This Week

I am…

…loving this space from the home of Dottie Angel herself, Tif Fussell.  The Orla Kiely wallpaper is in itself is enough to win me over, but everything else is so sweet and perfect too.  I wish I was cool and styling enough to pull this off.  Alas…

Dottie Angel via Calico & Co. at Lost and Fawned

…inspired by Aran of Cannelle Et Vanille.  Beautiful recipes, breathtaking photography.  Aran is crazy talented, it’s always a treat to visit.

…making time to wrap Christmas presents (gasp!).  I know it’s still October, but I’m heading off to New Zealand soon and all my shopping and wrapping of gifts needs to be finished by November.

…looking forward to some “me time” tomorrow.  I’m off to have my hair cut and coloured.  Then its back to gift wrapping and quilt making…

…and dishes and house cleaning and washing…

Hope your weekend is a good one, full of fun activities and an absence of washing!

I love the stool in that first image! Thank you for introducing me to Aran’s gorgeous blog!! Just popped across to have a look and her photography is amazing! Food photography is something I’d love to be better at so I can share more recipes I try out on my blog. I love the way you’ve wrapped your presents and the soft blue paper is lovely. Those buttons are SO effective. You are so creative Abby – I can’t believe your profession is not in the art field. Enjoy your afternoon/evening x

I love all the wrapping paper and decoration you do on your Christmas gift! I would hate to undo the wrapping if I get a gift like that. It looks too pretty to open! I love the rain deer decor on the gift. I think you are a talented photographer yourself. I second Amanda about your profession. You’re very creative and artistic! Thanks for posting pictures of cannelle et vanille. I just went to her blog. Aran is very talented! My favorite food blogger is Nordljus (http://www.nordljus.co.uk/) and both women make me think that there are mind blowing talented people in the world.
