I am…
…loving all these bright colours! Thanks for joining me for 6 Weeks of Spring Colour, leaving great comments, and just being such an amazing bunch
The days are rapidly heating up, we’re already spending the odd day hovering around 30 degrees, so Spring is leaving us now and Summer is making itself known. I wish I was spending Summer in some of these beautiful places.
The first photo is our neighbour’s tree, I took a sneaky shot perched on our bench seat from our side of the fence while they were out (that’s why you can only see the top of it). I probably should have just asked, but I felt a little silly asking for a photo of a tree. It’s gorgeous though, isn’t it?
…inspired by… nope, I’m flat out of inspiration this week.
…making as many things as possible fit into our bag, all the while…
…looking forward to heading back to New Zealand next week. I can’t wait to catch up with friends and family and introduce Sam to everyone. I won’t be around much next week as we’ll be busy traveling (four flights over two days – yuck!) but I’ll be back as soon as I can. Have a wonderful weekend, wherever you may be

PS. I thought I might take you all on a little virtual-holiday with me. Would anybody like to see a little of New Zealand?

Welcome to the final week of our Spring Colour series! I hadn’t really planned a colour scheme for this week, so I got out and about in our garden to look for inspiration. As we hit November, the Jacaranda is in flower and the roses are in full bloom. Summer is just around the corner.
This winter I planted a gorgeous fuchsia. My Mum them in our garden when I was a kid and my sister and I used to take our Barbies camping underneath their canopy. Imagine having a picnic underneath an umbrella of fuchsia…
.. wouldn’t it be lovely?

I am…
…loving this new online store One Sydney Road. Piper Toth was so inspired during a trip to Sydney, she decided to open her own boutique. Bravo to that. And she has such great taste. I am so in love with that bag!

…inspired by this great butterfly pillow tutorial at Stylizimo – Nina’s blog is fast becoming one of my favourites

…making paper garlands, for fun and fancy

…looking forward to finding little surprises like this on my couch
That made me smile
What do you have planned for the weekend?
Today I have not one, but two inspiring sites to share with you. The first is Hello Naomi, where talented cake decorator Naomi shares her creations and collaborative efforts with her friend Nathalie, stationary designer of Imprintables (our second blog). Together, they are the creative minds behind party styling company sissors.paper.cake.

When I was planning Noah’s birthday party a couple of months back, I hit the web to hunt around for ideas and stumbled across Hello Naomi. If you happen to be sweet on stylish parties for little people, you definitely need to pop by and visit. Naomi’s site is bubbling with beautiful ideas. Her attention to detail is something to behold, from her sweet cake creations, to decorated cookies and sweets, all beautifully themed with the loveliest of colour schemes.
Naomi’s blog lead me back to Nathalie’s (Imprintables) and to the store of the same name. It’s a wonderful online shop, supplying party stationary (of course!) and everything from decorations, to hamper boxes, backdrop wallpaper, and even Naomi’s creations – cookies and cupcakes if you’re lucky enough to live in Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle or Brisbane. Nathalie’s blog showcases some of their parties, as well as other events that she loves.
Together, they are an amazing team. Each party is themed beautifully and styled to perfection. No detail (however small) appears to escape these two! Here are some of their amazing, super cute parties. My favourite is Angelica’s Beehive party.

The colour scheme is so soft and sweet, perfect for a two year old girl.
I love the simple, fresh look of this lavender and honey theme.

This afternoon tea party is lovely. Nathalie organised it for a friend. Isn’t she a lucky girl?

Some more eye candy. For your enjoyment…

Beautiful hey? Clever girls
