Things to do on a rainy day #65: Get Your Groove On
Yearly Archives: 2010Wow, I don’t know if I’ve ever been quite so pleased to be home – that was some trip! Overall, I’ll give it a 7 out of 10, all things considered, but it’s not something I would want to be doing too often. Yikes… The boys are settling in well, and their Grandparents are (of course) very excited to have them here. The weather has been lovely, and although it is drizzling today, it makes for a nice change from our constant sunny days in Western Australia and I don’t mind one bit. We made the most of the first couple of sunny days by getting out and about in my Mum’s beautiful garden…

Ours was a flurry of packing and last-minute organising, and birthday celebrating (me, this time). We are almost ready to go now, I’m excited but a little lot apprehensive about flying by myself with two little people. Eeek! I’ve packed lots of toys and snacks and a portable DVD player so hopefully that keeps Noah occupied. Any tips for travelling with babies and toddlers? PS. If you click on the photo it will take you to a very sweet birthday celebration. I love the ice cream cone candles – cool hey? 5 comments I am… …loving all these bright colours! Thanks for joining me for 6 Weeks of Spring Colour, leaving great comments, and just being such an amazing bunch The days are rapidly heating up, we’re already spending the odd day hovering around 30 degrees, so Spring is leaving us now and Summer is making itself known. I wish I was spending Summer in some of these beautiful places. The first photo is our neighbour’s tree, I took a sneaky shot perched on our bench seat from our side of the fence while they were out (that’s why you can only see the top of it). I probably should have just asked, but I felt a little silly asking for a photo of a tree. It’s gorgeous though, isn’t it? …inspired by… nope, I’m flat out of inspiration this week. …making as many things as possible fit into our bag, all the while… …looking forward to heading back to New Zealand next week. I can’t wait to catch up with friends and family and introduce Sam to everyone. I won’t be around much next week as we’ll be busy traveling (four flights over two days – yuck!) but I’ll be back as soon as I can. Have a wonderful weekend, wherever you may be PS. I thought I might take you all on a little virtual-holiday with me. Would anybody like to see a little of New Zealand?
