Sam celebrated his very first birthday with a bunny theme party. I had a little bit (by little, I mean a lot) of help with this one, thanks to my super talented sister, Tess, who is a baker extraordinaire. You can see her handiwork in all the cute cupcakes and cookies.
This was a bit of a grown-up kids party. The majority of guests were 30+ so we held back on the fairy bread and sausages and served individual salads with walnut and blue cheese, lamb and pistachio sausage rolls, cocktail sandwiches, vegetable platters with cute baby carrots, radishes, celery sticks and dip, and a family friend brought along some amazing mini muffins with smoked salmon, pesto and cream cheese filling. Yum.
The cake was a very last minute creation, check out the demented looking bunny cake topper in the first picture. It cracks me up every time I see it
It was a fun day, and so nice to celebrate with friends and family in New Zealand.
